World Hypertension Day 2026 Theme: “Controlling Hypertension Together: Check Your Blood Pressure Regularly, Defeat the Silent Killer”

Today, on World Hypertension Day, we join the global call to raise awareness on the importance of preventing and controlling high blood pressure.

Hypertension is often called the “silent killer” because it may show no symptoms while increasing the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other serious health conditions.

This year’s theme, “Controlling Hypertension Together: Check Your Blood Pressure Regularly, Defeat the Silent Killer,” reminds us that simple healthy habits can help protect our hearts and save lives.

To reduce the risk of hypertension and stay healthy:
• Check your blood pressure regularly
• Reduce salt, sugar, and unhealthy fats in your meals
• Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy foods
• Stay physically active and exercise regularly
• Avoid smoking and limit alcohol intake
• Manage stress and get enough rest
• Maintain a healthy weight and follow medical advice when necessary

At ARFH, we encourage everyone to take proactive steps toward healthier lifestyles and stronger communities. Prevention starts with everyday choices.
