Our Services

The Prof. Olikoye Ransom Kuti medical centre (ARFH Clinic) offers a range of health services, including treatments for minor ailments, STI screening and treatment, ultrasound services, gynaecological services, ante-natal and post-natal services, minor surgical procedures, admission services, health promotion and outreach activities, counselling and referrals.

Clinical services

ARFH has one main Clinic and two Satellite Clinics. The organization reaches out to the masses through these delivery centres to ensure quality of care at affordable costs. The delivery centres provide services on Family Planning, treatment of Reproductive Health problems and minor ailments, and dissemination of information on Family Planning/Sexual and Reproductive Health, and HIV/AIDS issues and various laboratory tests.

Laboratory services

ARFH laboratory is an important department of the organisation. It is a small laboratory designed and equipped to provide limited but quality diagnostic services. Apart from routine diagnostic investigations, ARFH laboratory is greatly involved in the provision of HIV counselling and testing (HCT) services in collaboration with other organisations and donor agencies (e.g. APIN/PEPFAR). ARFH has two laboratory annexes in Yemetu (Ibadan) and Ogbomosho that are designated HCT sites for the APIN/PEPFAR project.

As are our core values, ARFH provides prompt, friendly and quality service to our clients, with reliable test results. With our qualified staff, the laboratory provides the following services: 

Tunde & Ebun Delano Library

The Tunde and Ebun Delano Library (ARFH Library), also located within ARFH House premise, has been found very useful as a strategy of inculcating the reading culture into them and reaching them with SRH/FP and HIV/AIDS information.

To further enhance the aim of the library, skill building programmes are organised weekly for the library users. Topics discussed include Time Management, Study Skills Building , Sexual Reproductive Health Hints, Dangers of Substance Abuse, Choosing a Career, Refusal Skills and Relationships, among others. The computerized library enhances easy storage and retrieval of data.

The library is automated to enhance easy storage and retrieval of information. Internet searches are also done in the library to complement physical books and other printed materials. The library operates between 9am and 5pm every working day, and its membership is open to secondary school students, undergraduates, postgraduates and researchers at a reasonable fee.

The Eugene Weiss Internet Browsing Centre

The Eugene Weiss Internet Browsing Centre (ARFH internet services), which began operation in March 2004, has enabled youths to have access to information on the Internet. It has also served as a resource centre for students and researchers using the library. To further encourage youths to be computer literate, a 6-week computer training programme was introduced through which they gain acquire skills on Computer Appreciation, Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Application and Desktop Publishing. This programme was supported by a take-off grant from the Augustine Stewardship Trust Fund, Wisconsin, USA. Other services at the Internet browsing centre include Photocopying, Scanning and Typing.

ARFH Recreational Facility

ARFH’s commitment to the overall development of youths explains the provision of a garden near the Tunde and Ebun Delano Library, to create an enabling and relaxing environment for library users after long hours of study. Other recreational facilities include indoor games as well as musical and entertainment equipment.
