FACTSHEET: ARFH Global Fund/FHI360 supported HIV Community HIV Services in Kaduna State


Here is a fact sheet showing achievement from Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) in Kaduna state, Nigeria from March to October 2018. ARFH is a sub recipient to FHI360 on the Global Fund HIV grant, contributing to the first 90 of the UNAIDS 90-90-90. The contributions of ARFH in the community level implementation of the Global Fund HIV grant includes improving the health of women, men & children by providing comprehensive HIV Testing Services (HTS). 22 Community Testers (CT) pulled from 11 LGAs visit various communities in readiness for HTS with an approach that involves connected CT network structures geared on targeted testing with focus on Sexually Network Testing & Index Testing for persons from the General Population (GP) and Pregnant Women (PW). We ensure that all positive clients are enrolled at Global Fund supported health facilities to sustain treatment for life in line with the UNAIDS mandate to “provide antiretroviral therapy (ART) for 90% of those diagnosed to achieve viral suppression for 90% of those treated by 2020. “
