ARFH Organizes Capacity Building Of CHEWS on Door To Door Family Planning Services

ARFH organized a capacity building workshop for 60 Community Health Extension Workers towards improving the quality of maternal and child health through door to door family planning services for effective community based contraceptive distribution. The training workshop which held in Ondo state and Enugu state is a pilot project sponsored by the Rotarian Action Group for Population and Development-RFPD. 60 CHEWs selected from Nkanu East and Nkanu West Local Governments areas of Enugu State and Akure South and Owo LGAs of Ondo State were trained on the project. The trained CHEWs are expected to serve as community resource persons in the delivery of door to door family planning services, to create awareness on contraceptive use and encourage pregnant women to patronize ante natal clinics.
