Today, October 30, 2024, at the 3rd Health Promotion Conference, Dr. Kehinde Osinowo, ARFH CEO, chaired an impactful panel presentation on “Institutionalizing Sustainable Government-led Demand Generation for Health Services in Nigeria.” Moderated by Adesola Fanimoku from The Challenge Initiative (TCI), today’s session featured prominent attendees including Senator Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Chair of the 10th Senate Committee on Health, the Emir of Shonghai, and Prof. Ladipo Oladapo FRCOG, OON.
Panelists—Abubakar Sambo Majasirdi (Sokoto), Ediomo J. Udoh (AkwaIbom), and Fadimatu Inuwa Njidda (Adamawa)—discussed key topics like integrated demand generation, social youth mobilization, and community engagement. Strategies for association meetings, capacity building, and locally adapted IEC materials were emphasized to foster health-seeking behaviors and community ownership.
Following the plenary, Prof. Oyedunni Arulogun led a session on Public Private Partnerships, highlighting collaborative pathways for sustainable health services across Nigeria. ARFH continues to champion innovative solutions that engage communities, empower youth, and ensure a healthier future for all.
