The International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) took place in Kigali, Rwanda from 12th – 15th November, 2018. According to the conference core organization group, the theme for ICFP 2018 “Investing for a Lifetime of Returns” speaks to the various returns on investment family planning provides, from education and empowerment to economic growth and environmental health. Global partners gathered to discuss innovative ways of advancing family planning and seek ways in which countries can harness the benefits of the demographic dividend.
Year 2018 was remarkable as the conference also celebrated individuals who have made deep and enduring impact on the family planning and reproductive health community. ARFH President/CEO, Professor Oladapo Ladipo, and Co-Founder, Chief (Mrs) Grace Delano were conferred a Lifetime Achievement Award for their impact in family planning and reproductive health.
