World Cancer Day 2026 | #UnitedByUnique

Every cancer story is different.
Every person is unique.
But our response must be united.

At ARFH, we recognize that cancer, especially cervical cancer, continues to place a heavy burden on women and girls in underserved and hard-to-reach communities in Nigeria. Addressing this reality requires solutions that are community-centred, evidence-driven, and system-strengthening.

What ARFH is doing:

Promoting cervical cancer awareness and prevention through community outreach, school-based and adolescent-focused programmes

Supporting screening for precancerous lesions (VIA) and strengthening referral pathways for indigent clients

Building the capacity of frontline health workers to deliver quality screening and prevention services

Driving HPV vaccine awareness and demand generation in collaboration with government, community, religious, and women leaders

Advancing policy dialogue, advocacy, and stakeholder coordination to integrate cancer prevention into SRH and primary health care systems

ARFH remains committed to sustaining progress through stronger health systems, domestic financing, and multisectoral partnerships.

Different journeys. Shared purpose.
Together, we are #UnitedByUnique in the fight against cancer.
