MEETING WITH GLOBAL FUND PORTFOLIO MANAGER, CCM REPRESENTATIVE, GFA TEAM AND ARFH TUBERCULOSIS UNIT.
The meeting was centred on the implementation of the Tuberculosis interventions (Active case finding and community management of Drug Resistant Tuberculosis -DRTB Patients)
Operational issues were discussed and needed steps for the next implementation cycle.
ARFH works:
To ensure that communities have accurate knowledge of Tuberculosis through sensitisation, demand creation for TB services
To ensure that individuals and communities have prompt access to TB diagnosis, treatment and follow-up services.
Through ARFH’s community TB interventions, 809,666 presumptive TB cases have been identified, 79,453 have been diagnosed to have Tuberculosis and placed on treatment.
