As part of the UNESCO supported O3 Project, ARFH successfully facilitated a two-day Family Life and HIV Education for Health and Wellbeing (FLHE/EHW) training for teachers in Olaoluwa Local Government Area of Osun State.
Held at Community Grammar School, Bode Osi, the training brought together 187 participants from schools across the LGA, alongside representatives of ANCOPS and the Local Inspector of Education (LIE).
Participants were equipped with knowledge and skills on adolescent health issues, creating safer schools, values clarification, communication for behaviour change, parental engagement, life skills, HIV prevention, referral systems, and effective learner engagement.
The training also reinforced the use of both curricular and co-curricular approaches to deliver quality FLHE/EHW interventions and create supportive learning environments for adolescents. Training manuals were distributed to participating schools to support sustained implementation.
Through partnerships and capacity strengthening, ARFH remains committed to advancing adolescent health, wellbeing, and positive learning outcomes in schools.
