On May 11, 2026, ARFH commenced a two-day Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) Review and Action Planning Meeting at the Abuja Continental Hotel, bringing together strategic leaders, development partners, and key stakeholders to critically assess institutional performance, strengthen systems, and define a bold and results-oriented pathway for the future of ARFH in Nigeria and beyond the continent.
The strategic engagement is being facilitated by the HASKE Team led by its Managing Director, Nadji Sock, and has in attendance the Chairman of the ARFH Board of Directors, Dr. Jerome Mafeni, members of the ARFH Board, ARFH CEO Dr. Kehinde Osinowo, ARFH Directors, Managers, and staff, alongside partners including IHVN, CCCRN, Chidubem Momah from GIA, and government stakeholders such as Tajudeen Ibrahim, Executive Secretary of CCM.
The meeting is focused on reviewing findings from the Organizational Capacity Assessment and translating those insights into practical, measurable, and forward-looking actions across critical institutional pillars including governance and leadership, human resources, financial management, programme management, monitoring, evaluation and learning, technology and innovation, partnerships and external relations, as well as strategic resilience and sustainability.
Beyond reflection, the engagement is driving strategic conversations around institutional repositioning, operational efficiency, diversification within the African health sector, innovation, sustainability, accountability mechanisms, and strengthening ARFH’s long-term competitiveness and impact within the development landscape.
A key outcome of the meeting is the development of a clear action-oriented roadmap with defined priorities, accountability structures, and implementation pathways that will guide ARFH’s next phase of growth and institutional transformation. The process is also reinforcing stronger collaboration between leadership, technical teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure that recommendations from the assessment translate into measurable organizational improvements and stronger programme outcomes.
As the engagement progresses into Day Two, ARFH continues to demonstrate its commitment to continuous improvement, strategic resilience, innovation, and institutional excellence in delivering sustainable health and development interventions that improve lives across Nigeria and beyond the continent.
