ANOTHER MILESTONE RECORDED
Donation of a Refrigerator and Stabilizer to Isale Oyo PHC Truenat site(lab) in Boripe LGA of Osun State for Storage of Sputum Samples. This donation was done by Dr Queen of the Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) on behalf of SHEAD.
SHEAD is a CBO in Osun state being supported by ARFH on the Tuberculosis Active Case Finding in the communities. A big gap in the diagnosis of tuberculosis in Osun state is lack of storage facilities for sputum sample in some diagnostic sites. To close this gap, SHEAD has procured a 240-litre refrigerator and a stabilizer. To receive this donation were:
The Osun state EQA officer representing the Osun state TB & Leprosy Control Program Manager
The Deputy Secretary of Boripe LGA Primary Health Care Board
The TBLS of Boripe LGA and TBLS of surrounding LGAs of Ila, Ifelodun and Odo – Otin.
This Truenat sites serves about 6 LGAs. Also present was the lab officer of Isale Oyo PHC. ARFH and its CBO partners are committed to make Nigeria free of Tuberculosis.
