Meeting with Senate Committee on Public Health and Communicable Diseases

The Stop TB partnership Nigeria led by its Board Chairman Dr. Queen Chidinma Ogbuji in collaboration with the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Programme (NTBLCP) had a meeting with the Senate Committee on Public Health and Communicable Diseases to discuss on prevailing issues on Tuberculosis (TB) control needing the Senate’s attention.

Among the issues discussed include the lack of National TB Legislation/Bill, inadequate funding for TB Control activities, need for additional National Training Centre for TB to bridge the human resource capacity gap in the program.
