A sensitization workshop on HIV/AIDS in the workplace was conducted for IITA staff. The workshop was aimed at sensitizing IITA staff on HIV/AIDS control and impact mitigation. Topics discussed included: Risk identification and assessment; Common myths and misconception; Basic facts on HIV/AIDS; Behavioural change communication strategies; Need for voluntary testing and Right and care for PLWHA. The issue of non- stigmatization and discrimination in the workplace was emphasized. Staff members were motivated to go for voluntary testing as the beginning of effective prevention.
