Some staff of the Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) in Abuja participated in a #MannequinChallenge video to publicize ARFH’s strategic areas of operation and some projects implemented by the organisation.
The Mannequin Challenge is an Internet trend that has gone viral where people stay still or frozen like mannequins while a video is recorded, usually with the song “Black Beatles” by Rae Sremmurd, as background music.
The hash tag #MannequinChallenge is being used for popular social media sites like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook where the videos are posted, so that users worldwide can access as many videos as possible by many individuals and groups. Many sports teams and civil trueviagraonline.com rights groups have used the trend to publicize their messages.
In ARFH’s Mannequin Challenge video, some ARFH staff are shown ‘frozen’ with most of them holding or reading a sheet of paper containing information on ARFH’s strategic areas on operation and some of the organisation’s projects.
The inspirational song titled “Oya come make we go” by 2Face Innocent Idibia (Featuring Sauti Sol), is used as background music in order to identify with ARFH’s indigenous audience, Nigerians.
ARFH is the foremost indigenous Nigerian Non-Governmental Organisation involved in the promotion of reproductive and family health information and services in underprivileged communities, and improving the quality of lives of people in Nigeria.
