From June 23–26, 2025, ARFH, in partnership with VillageReach and with funding support from GAVI, led high-level advocacy visits across key health and education institutions in Lagos State to accelerate HPV vaccine uptake, delivery and enhance adolescent health.
The team engaged with the Lagos State Ministry of Health, Primary Health Care Development Board, Universal Basic Education Board, and community stakeholders during the state’s MNCH Week.
The team emphasized the importance of collaboration, awareness/demand generation, accurate data reporting, and school outreach to ensure 9-year-old girls receive timely, lifesaving HPV vaccines.
Dr. Kehinde Osinowo ARFH CEO affirmed her commitment stating that her daughter was vaccinated at 12 years old, demonstrating her personal commitment and setting a powerful example for families across Lagos.
ARFH continues to work closely with select states to expand hpv vaccine access, counter misinformation, and drive the prevention of cervical cancer.
Together, let’s protect every girl’s future.
