Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, Chair of the House Committee on AIDS/HIV, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, announced during the press conference that the Federal Government of Nigeria has committed ₦700 billion to combat HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria, as well as to enhance immunization efforts.
In his ongoing commitment to strengthening TB response, Hon. Ogah spearheaded a motion in November 2024 advocating for the establishment of a Private Sector Trust Fund to support TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment initiation.The fight against TB requires urgent action, stronger policies, and sustained investment.
Now more than ever, we must scale up funding, increase awareness, and improve access to TB services.
