This initiative resonates with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision of empowerment and reflects a broader strategy introduced in December 2023 to combat tuberculosis through a whole-of-society approach. This approach includes engaging religious and traditional leaders, civil society, and the private sector, aligning with efforts to improve healthcare outcomes, especially through investments in primary healthcare centers under the Basic Health Care Provision Fund program.
