International Day of Persons with Disabilities | 3 December 2025

Today, we join the world in celebrating International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), a day dedicated to promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities (PwDs) and raising awareness about their inclusion in all aspects of society.

The 2025 theme: “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress” reminds us that true social progress is only possible when everyone, regardless of ability, is empowered to participate fully in community, economic, and cultural life.

At ARFH, we are committed to ensuring that adolescents and young people (AYPs) with disabilities are not left behind. Through our programs, we:

  • Train teachers and health workers to provide inclusive, accessible education and health services.
  • Support AYPs with disabilities to access sexual and reproductive health information and services in safe, youth-friendly environments.
  • Promote community awareness to break barriers of stigma and discrimination, ensuring PwDs can thrive.

In line with this year’s theme, ARFH continues to champion inclusive societies where every individual, regardless of disability, has the opportunity to grow, contribute, and lead.

Together, let’s create a world where disability inclusion is not an afterthought, but a standard.
