ARFH, in collaboration with UNESCO, Osun State PHCB, the Ministry of Education, SUBEB and the Ministry of Health, successfully conducted a two-day training (March 18-19, 2025) for healthcare workers under the O3 Project. This initiative equips nurses and midwives from PHCs with the skills to provide adolescent/youth-friendly healthcare services across Osun State.

Key Outcomes:
53 healthcare workers were trained, including 40 nurses from Ede North, Ife Central, Irewole, Isokan, Olorunda and Osogbo.
Strengthened collaboration between PHCB, ARFH, Ministry of Health, SUBEB and Ministry of Education for improved adolescent/youth-friendly healthcare services.
Commitment from trained nurses to extend adolescent-friendly services to schools within their PHC coverage.
Osun State’s commitment to continued capacity building and stronger referral and linkage systems.
Engaging & Interactive Sessions
Through expert-led modules, case studies, and role-plays, participants enhanced their knowledge on: Creating safer schools & adolescent-friendly spaces, Life skills delivery & community engagement, Establishing referral pathways & documenting FLHE interventions
With the support of the Osun State Government, PHCB, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Education, this training is a huge step forward in ensuring accessible, adolescent/youth-friendly healthcare services.
