ARFH Strengthens Collaboration with National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) to Boost Healthcare Delivery in Nigeria

Today, 13th August 2024, ARFH President Emeritus, Prof. Oladapo Ladipo, and ARFH CEO, Dr. Kehinde Osinowo, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Muyi Aina, the Executive Director/CEO, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA). The high-level discussions centred on enhancing the capacity of healthcare workers, driving quality care, and addressing the critical challenge of Human Resource for Health (HRH) in Nigeria’s healthcare sector.

Dr. Aina emphasized the recent Executive Order signed by the President on retaining healthcare workers, a crucial step towards strengthening and retaining the health workforce. He highlighted the need for partners like ARFH to bring technical expertise to the table, focusing on the digitalization of healthcare training and the integration of Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) into the PHC system.

ARFH‘s delegation, including Dr. Kolapo Oyeniyi, Director of Programs, Nasa Oyelade, Business Development Officer, and Samson Odukogbe, Knowledge and Communications Officer, reaffirmed commitment to supporting the Federal Government’s efforts in delivering comprehensive and responsive healthcare services to all Nigerians.
