Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) and Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) Forge Strategic Partnership for Enhanced Community Health Services.

On August 7, 2024, Dr. Kehinde Osinowo, CEO of ARFH, met with Alh. Dr. Bashir Idris (Lifidin Jama’a), Registrar/CEO of the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN). The meeting marked a significant step in strengthening collaboration to enhance quality service delivery across Nigeria.

ARFH, a leading NGO, has been at the forefront of working with community health workers to reach underserved and rural areas, ensuring sustainable healthcare access. This partnership aligns with the Sector Wide Approach (SWAP) and the Task Shifting and Task Sharing (TSTS) Policy, critical for improving healthcare outcomes nationwide.

The meeting marked a significant step in strengthening collaboration to enhance quality service delivery through capacity building and engagement of Community Health Practitioners in bridging the Human Resources for Health (HRH) shortage across Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities in Nigeria.

The discussion was enriched by the presence of key officials from CHPRBN, including Wuda Abubakar (Director, Inspectorate), Teniola Fredrick (Head, Quality Assurance), Jacob Deputy Director PRS, Olumuyiwa Olayinka Ayangbayi Director of Finance, Inivie-Wellington Osuagi, Head of procurement, and Lady Chika Agomoh Ag. Head, Admin/HR Dept. Also representing ARFH were Dr. Kolapo Oyeniyi, (Director of Programs) and Samson Odukogbe, (Knowledge and Communications Officer).

Together, ARFH and CHPRBN are committed to pushing the boundaries of community health, ensuring no one is left behind!
