Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting women in Nigeria, yet many lives can be saved through greater awareness, regular self-testing, and timely access to care.
At ARFH, we join the global campaign this Breast Cancer Awareness Month under the theme “Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters” to promote early detection, reduce stigma, and improve access to quality care for all women.
This theme reminds us that every woman’s experience with breast cancer is different, each story deserves understanding, support, and compassion.
This month, we honor those currently fighting breast cancer, celebrate the survivors, and remember those we have lost.
Together, we can make a difference by encouraging regular breast self-examinations (self-testing) and clinical screenings, speaking openly to end myths and fear about breast cancer, and supporting actions that make cancer care affordable and accessible.
Every effort counts. Every voice matters.
Let us continue to spread hope, raise awareness, and emphasize the power of early detection.
