Transport Officer, Ibadan.

Job Description

  • Responsible for driving the organization’s vehicles for official purposes, including driving passengers as directed by the office
  • Make scheduled passenger pick-ups and drop-offs as directed by the Administrative Officer
  • Adhere to ARFH security procedures and other policies
  • Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to date on road conditions
  • Responsible for the collection and dispatching of mails/deliveries with the officer in charge
  • Assist in setting up and preparation of workshops or other training events, including packaging and hauling of materials
  • Complete the vehicle log daily by documenting all errands, trips and deliveries
  • Ensure that all passengers wear seat belts at all times
  • Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the vehicle
  • Responsible for cleaning and providing preventive maintenance on the vehicle
  • Responsible for liaising with Administrative Officer in fueling and performing repairs on the vehicle
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as a Driver, must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, minimum visual acuity of 20/20,
  • Familiarity with GPS devices, knowledge of area roads and neighborhood
  • Time management skills
  • Good interpersonal relationship and communication skill
  • Maintain safe driving practices at all times
  • Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
  • A polite and professional disposition
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations e.g. at rush hour
  • Minimum of O ‘level certificate
