Job Description

The Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) will be conducting a recruitment process for National Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Buruli Ulcer Control Program (NTBLCP). In view of the foregoing, the management of ARFH is seeking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant position:

Specific Responsibilities

The Senior Finance officer will be responsible for handling all financial management in line with approved procedures and ensure prompt reporting within the given deadline as follows:
The Senior Finance Officer (Northern Region) will have responsibility for the financial transactions of zonal offices under the region, the financial transactions of PR – Procurement (including contracts) and Laboratory Units.

Required Experience

o Experience and knowledge of MOH financial and accounting procedures
o Knowledge in Finance and Accounts Management
o Excellent understanding of financial systems, procedures, and relevant financial software applications
o Knowledge of the financial management requirements and policies of the Global Fund to Fight HIV, TB, and Malaria
o Knowledge of IFR Standards
o Financial Management, Regulatory Framework, Financial modelling
o Business Acumen
o Inter-personal and Negotiation skills
o Stakeholder Engagement and Management
o Demonstrates expertise in Financial Information Data Analytics
o Research and investigative ability
o Data analysis and interpretation
o Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, i.e. MS Word, Excel, etc.
o Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) is an asset

Minimum Qualifications

o HND / BSc in Accountancy / Finance or related discipline
o Professional qualification (ACA, CA, CPA / ACCA) is mandatory
o Minimum of 5 years’ financial / grants management experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
o Demonstrated experience with donor funded grants. Specific experience in the Health sector and with Global Fund grants is an added advantage.
