Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Lead

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and management of the project’s MEL system. The successful candidate will play a key role in tracking project performance, measuring impact, strengthening data use, and supporting evidence-based decision-making across project activities.

The MEL Lead will work closely with project teams, government stakeholders, and partners to ensure high-quality data management, compliance with donor requirements, and continuous learning for program improvement.

Specific Responsibilities

The MEL Lead will

  • Develop and manage the project MEL Plan, Dashboards, and Data Collection Tools
  • Conduct data analysis, learning reviews and support evidence use for decision-making
  • Build the capacity of LGA teams and partners on data quality and use
  • Lead reporting against USG indicators and contribute to documentation of best practices
  • Ensure adherence to donor MEL frameworks, organizational standards, and national reporting requirements.

Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in MEL for health programs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Statistics or related field
  • Proficiency in DHIS2, SPSS/Stata/R, and data visualization tools.
  • Experience with immunization and MNCH+N data preferred.
