Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Lead

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and management of the project’s MEL system. The successful candidate will play a key role in tracking project performance, measuring impact, strengthening data use, and supporting evidence-based decision-making across project activities.

The MEL Lead will work closely with project teams, government stakeholders, and partners to ensure high-quality data management, compliance with donor requirements, and continuous learning for program improvement.

Specific Responsibilities

The MEL Lead will

Develop and manage the project MEL Plan, Dashboards, and Data Collection Tools
Conduct data analysis, learning reviews and support evidence use for decision-making
Build the capacity of LGA teams and partners on data quality and use
Lead reporting against USG indicators and contribute to documentation of best practices
Ensure adherence to donor MEL frameworks, organizational standards, and national reporting requirements.

Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in MEL for health programs

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Statistics or related field
Proficiency in DHIS2, SPSS/Stata/R, and data visualization tools.
Experience with immunization and MNCH+N data preferred.
