Job Description

Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) is one of the leading Nigerian Non-Governmental Organizations implementing programs for improving Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH+N) services and other Public health promoting activities including Care and Treatment of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB) and Malaria, etc. A subsidiary of ARFH, ARFH Resources Nigeria Limited comprising of the Olikoye Ransome Kuti Medical Centre (ORMC) and Laboratory where health services are being provided to meet the needs of individuals, families and communities is in need of a Manager, Medical & Clinical Services. We hereby seek applications from qualified individuals for the position.

Specific Responsibilities

  1. Specific Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight of the Olikoye Ransome Kuti Medical Center (ORMC) and Laboratory services
  • Ensure cordial relationship with HMOs
  • Continuing professional development
  • Ensure that patients/customers are attended to promptly;
  • Management and treatment of medical cases;
  • Monitor Clinic routine operations and prepare monthly reports;
  • Provide oversight of laboratory activities and ensure timely quality compliance;
  • Support policy formulation and execute budget by providing financial projections during budget development;
  • Execute productivity increase strategies and optimize clinical staff and procedural values
  • Improve staff-patient interactions through patient satisfaction tools
  • Establish and administer clinic specific policies and oversee system standard work
  • Hold regular clinic staff meetings to review some complex clinical/surgical cases;
  • Ensure transparency in financial processes
  • Brief the Board of Directors on activities of ORMC including how any challenges have been addressed
  • Ensure profitable Public/Private partnership for the Medical Center
  • Ensure that all healthcare regulations and safety standards are met
  • Keep staff updated on new healthcare regulations
  • Find ways to improve clinical services
  • Overall supervision of PRO activities to improve clients’ patronage online and on-site;
  • Monitors budget and spending
  • Report to the Chief Executive Officer
  • Any other duties as may be assigned

Required Experience

The Manager must have excellent leadership ability because they oversee all Physicians and staff members in a medical facility. They also need to have great communication skills, as they present budgets and other important information to Board Members throughout the year.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements/Skills

  • MB BCh or MBBS,MPH PGD in Reproductive Medicine will be an added advantage
  • A Family/Public Health Physician with Certification in Fertility Management, Ultrasound Imaging and Administration.
  • Proven work experience as a Manager, Medical and Clinical Services or similar role
  • Clinical risk management experience
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities
  • Minimum of 5 years’ post NYSC experience
