Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) is one of the leading Nigerian Non-Governmental Organizations implementing programs for improving Reproductive Health and Family planning (RH/FP), Care and Treatment of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB) and Malaria etc.

We seek applications from qualified persons for the following position in an anticipated USCDC- funded Key Populations and Adolescent and Young Persons’ project: Expansion of Community HIV Response in Nigeria through Civil Society Organizations in some selected states in Nigeria . We seek applications from qualified persons for the position of Deputy Project Director in an anticipated USCDC- funded Key Populations and Adolescent and Young Persons’ project: Expansion of Community HIV Response in Nigeria through Civil Society Organizations in some selected states in Nigeria  The candidate will be based in Abuja with oversight functions on  selected states and report to the Project Director.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for the planning, implementation,monitoring and evaluation of the project.
  • Provide leadership and supportive supervision for State Team Leads in the provision of comprehensive HIV services to AYPs and KPs.
  • Support the development of annual work plans and budget for project implementation
  • Provide leadership in the implementation of evidence-based interventions for AYPs and KPs across selected states.
  • Facilitate strengthening of linkages between the community-based AYP and KP activities and health facilities in the provision of HIV care and treatment towards ensuring a continuum of care.
  • Ensure capacity strengthening of implementing KP-Led and Youth-Led CBOs in the provision of Comprehensive HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment.
  • Ensure professional documentation and timely submission of project reports and presentations to the project director.
  • Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor

Required Experience

  • Vast experience in managing USG-funded activities, including program planning, implementation, data use, monitoring and reporting.
  • Ability to develop and track project work plans and budget effectively.
  • Proven track record of leadership, supportive supervision, mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Language.
  • Great Interpersonal Communication Skills.
  • Proven track record of leadership, supportive supervision, mentoring and coaching skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MBBS or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Sciences, Social Sciences, Social Work or related field. A Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration or Management will be added advantage.
  • Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in Donor funded program such as USG or United Nations in designing and managing AYP and KP programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding in working with KPs and AYPs community-led organizations.
