Job Description

Provide technical leadership for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project.
Provide leadership and supportive supervision for State Team Leads in the provision of comprehensive routine immunization services.
Support the development of annual work plans and budgets for project implementation
Provide leadership in the implementation of evidence-based interventions on routine immunization services.
Ensure capacity strengthening of implementing routine immunization programmes
Ensure professional documentation and timely submission of project reports and presentations to the project director.
Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor

Specific Responsibilities

We seek applications from qualified persons for the following position in an anticipated US CDC funded Immunization project “Strengthening immunization program implementation in sub-national consequential geographies in Nigeria (SIPIS-Nigeria)”.

The candidate will be based in Abuja with oversight functions on selected states and report to the Chief of Party.

Required Experience

Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in Donor funded program such as USG or United Nations in routine immunization.
Vast experience in managing USG-funded activities, including program planning, implementation, data use, monitoring and reporting.
Ability to develop and track project work plans and budget effectively.
Proven track record of leadership, supportive supervision, mentoring and coaching skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Language.
Great Interpersonal Communication Skills.

Minimum Qualifications

MBBS or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Sciences, Social Sciences, Social Work or related field.
A Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration or Management will be added advantage.
