Job Description

  • Provides Overall strategic and technical leadership in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project in selected states.
  • Serve as the principal point of contact between the Donor and ARFH on procedural and substantive matters related to the project.
  • Lead the development of annual work plans and budget for project implementation.
  • Oversee the advocacy and collaboration with primary stakeholders and gatekeepers to provide enabling environment for the implementation of programme activities at the State and National level.
  • Review and approve submitted programme budgets to guide programme implementation at the national and state level
  • Manage the relationship between ARFH and Sub- Recipient including Sub-Contractor on the project.
  • Represent ARFH at national high-level meetings with Government of Nigeria (GoN), donor and partners
  • Submit narrative and financial reports to the donor and other relevant stakeholders as at when due.

Specific Responsibilities

We seek applications from qualified persons for the following position in an anticipated US CDC funded Immunization project “Strengthening immunization program implementation in sub-national consequential geographies in Nigeria (SIPIS-Nigeria)”.

The candidate will be based in Abuja with oversight functions in selected states and report to the Director of Programs.

Required Experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior program management position.

Demonstrated experience in routine immunization

  • Proven record of accomplishment of leadership, supportive supervision, mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Ability to develop and track project work plans and budget effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Language.
  • Great Interpersonal Communication Skills.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office suite and working knowledge of M & E software

Minimum Qualifications

  • MB BS, Sc. degree in any medical or social sciences
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Development Studies, Social Work or other health related field.
