ARFH advocacy visits to state partners facilitates start-up of Global Fund NFM Grant in Oyo, Kaduna, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Imo


ARFH is one of the Sub-Recipients to FHI 360 under the Global Fund HIV New Funding Model extension period beginning from January, 2018 to June, 2019. The project fully commenced in March, 2018 when ARFH & FHI 360 formally signed memorandum of understanding. To kick start the Global Fund HIV New Funding Model extension period, ARFH conducted start-up advocacy visits to Oyo, Kaduna, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, and Imo States to inform states actors comprising of SASCP, SACA, FHI 360, NACA of the new implementation arrangement of the grant and enlist their support for smooth implementation and project sustainability.
ARFH also leveraged on the start-up advocacy to verify and validate the list of Counsellor Testers recommended for the project from a pool of existing Counselor Testers in the different states by the state actors and other implementing partners. The advocacy visits across all state set the pace for a smooth implementation of the Global Fund HIV/TB Grant and strengthened the working relationship between ARFH and the state actors.
