INTERNATIONAL DAY OF FAMILIES 2018: A RAY OF HOPE FOR UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES

Today is International Day of Families, which is marked every year on May 15. The focus of this year is on issues relating to family with the theme “Families and inclusive societies.”
This year’s commemoration draws attention to the role of families and family policies in advancing Sustainable Development Goal 16 in terms of Promoting peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development. And just as every country is diverse in its economic, social and cultural policies; it emphasizes the need to put into consideration the various types of families/individual from minority groups and people of disability.
ARFH celebrates the International Day of Families in recognition of the work we do to ensure that vulnerable families in under-served communities can access quality healthcare. Thanks to our dedicated team, partners and community volunteers’ contribution to the advancement of HIV/AIDs care, TB case finding and treatment, sexual and reproductive health rights.
