Mrs. Grace Delano, ARFH Vice President and Executive Director Honored

The Vice President/ED of ARFH, Mrs. Grace Delano, was honoured recently with an Award of Excellence for her significant contributions to the success of the NURHI Project. The Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI) was a five year (2009 ‐2014) project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation that aimed at increasing the use of modern family planning (FP) methods among the urban poor in the six cities of Abuja FCT, Ibadan, Kaduna, Ilorin, Benin City, and Zaria by at least 20 percentage points. NURHI was part of a broader Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (other sites include India, Kenya, and Senegal). The Project was implemented by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs (JHU∙CCP), in partnership with the Association for Reproductive and Family Health and Center for Communication Programs Nigeria.
Mrs. Victoria Segilola, Clinical Nursing Officer, ARFH Clinic was also honoured at the event which took place at Kakanfo Inn, Ibadan.
