State Technical Officer, Integrated TB/HIV Project

Job Description

The State Technical officer will provide technical leadership and guidance for  CPPM TB/HIV activities on the Global Fund GC7 integrated TB/HIV Project FCT .  He would be responsible for daily implementation of program activities , monitor the key project indicators (KPI) and ensure quality and timely reporting.  S/he will liaise with and supervise State and CBOs working on the TB/HIV and CPPM Grant.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and oversight on monitoring and evaluation of the integrated  CPPM TB/HIV  project
  • Ensure that the implementation of activities are in line with the project’s implementation plan and meets the donor needs.
  • Provide technical support to state officers in ensuring that programmatic data/indicators are accurately captured, and reported according to set guidelines.
  • Represent and make appropriate presentations to stakeholders at various fora on program achievements and deliverables.
  • Provide continuous technical lead to state project team, highlight important programmatic gaps and coordinate with program management and others in addressing these gaps.
  • Conduct routine supportive supervisory visits to project sites, including the conduct of data verification and validation using standard checklists
  • Ensure regular maintenance of database/information system, project’s training database and programmatic progress updates that documents achievements on a regular basis.
  • Facilitate the preparation/production of project reports, journal publications, and human success stories and quarterly fact sheets.
  • Provide technical support to the NTBLCP and other Government of Nigeria entities in the conduct of surveys for TB/HIV programs,

Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria programming or related fields, and programs in developing countries. Working experience with Global Fund, USAID or any other international donor-funded programs is desirable. Applicant’s experience must reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a university degree in any of the following fields: Medicine, Social Sciences, Pharmacy, Statistics, Demography, and Public Health or related fields. A master’s degree in public health will be an added advantage.
