World Hand Hygiene Day: It might be gloves, it’s always hand hygiene!

It might be gloves, it’s always hand hygiene!
On this #WorldHandHygieneDay, ARFH reminds everyone that clean hands are key to stopping the spread of germs—whether or not you wear gloves. Washing with soap and running water or using hand sanitizer both work—just be sure to clean all parts of your hands properly. Gloves don’t replace hygiene; always wash before and after use.

Through the ICHSSA 2 project, ARFH has supported the setup of handwashing stations in schools and households, distributed hygiene kits to orphans and vulnerable children and their caregivers, and trained community caseworkers on safe hygiene practices. Our WASH interventions have promoted behavior change, improved access to safe water, and encouraged healthy habits in hard-to-reach areas.

We continue working with schools, health workers, and communities to promote a culture of hand hygiene that saves lives.
