The ARFH team in conjunction with the CCCRN-led consortium conducted training on PMTCT services for community-operated Traditional Birth Centres and private clinics. This is aimed at improving the National ANC coverage which stands at 67% while HIV Testing Services is 34% among pregnant women. The training is thus an essential step towards increasing PMTCT coverage under USAID supported ACE4 project in Kwara & Niger State. A total of 78 participants took part in the training.
Following the capacity building of operators of Traditional Birth Centres, a community private clinic in the capacity of TBC Champion an organized HTS in the community for pregnant women. The mobilization and participation demonstrated wide acceptability.
