He revealed this at a two-day National Tuberculosis (TB) Conference organized by the Stop TB Partnership in Nigeria, which held in Abuja on 17th and 18th May, 2016. He also stated that the organization’s track record in Nigeria informed the decision to make it a principal recipient of the grant in 2010.

Sometime back in 2010, we were looking for an organisation that will work on TB (Tuberculosis), and because of the track record of ARFH, ARFH was approached to come and be the PR (Principal Recipient). ARFH came in, and since then, it has been a success story.”

The Country Coordinating Mechanism is a body with the responsibility to ensure that Global Fund grants to Principal Recipients, Sub Recipients and implementing agencies in Nigeria are effectively and efficiently managed to deliver quality healthcare services to Nigerians.
